colorful abstract art

Abstract artist are known for their out-of-the-box expressions and their paintings are best appreciated through unique color combinations and shades. For centuries, artistic expressions were guided by certain rules like frames, backgrounds and mediums used. But I believe there are times many artists already possess abstracting talents in them that were suppressed by these rules. That was probably why they allowed themselves to be forced by their traditional mentors to do art the conventional way.

In the late eighteen century, Vincent Van Gogh was disliked by most of his contemporaries and avid art aficionados during that time because of his colorful abstract art. His style of painting was questioned and unfairly judged by his peers. Still, Van Gogh had the guts to paint with heavy strokes, contrasting use of colors and darks shades which made his paintings some of the most valued works of art today.
