Down alternative comforters
Traditional down comforters can be costly. If you cannot afford to buy several, try down alternative comforters instead. These are easier on the budget and offer several choices of fills other than goose or duck down. Down alternative comforters may be filled with synthetic fiber clusters and wool.
There are now fiber fills that imitate the loft and warmth of true down. They are similar in size and shape to down clusters thus resulting in nearly equal insulating capacity. What’s advantageous with synthetic fills is that the individual fibers are water repellent and will continue to insulate even when wet. They are easy to clean and require minimum maintenance.
