Gone are the days of manual antique ceiling fans. Today, there are remote control ceiling fans available to regulate the speed or rotation of the fan blades. The control switch can also indicate the direction of the blades as well as the power of the motor.

This is convenient because no installation is necessary. Having a remote control makes a ceiling fan more affordable.
