I think my eyesight has deteriorated slightly since I gave birth, or maybe because I’m pushing 40. I can hardly read the fine print of contracts now. I used to be able to read building signs from far away. Although I don’t wear prescription glasses yet, I have had to have large wall clocks installed in my new apartments so I can easily tell the time from across the room. I like having large wall clocks because I can see the time right away and see if I’m running late or have a few minutes to spare.

I remember a funny sign I saw in an office that said “this clock will never be stolen because the employees are always looking at it”. This is exactly how I feel sometimes in the office. Our office is filled with large wall clocks; we are always looking at the time to check if it’s time for our lunch break, coffee break or time to go home. I got so used to looking at large wall clocks that I made sure I’d have them in my home as well.
