Before they can even think about the kind of crib bedding that they should get, they have to decide on the crib that they want to buy. They can opt for the traditional rectangular crib made of wood slats. One (or two) side is made such that it can be pushed down for easy access. There are also round baby cribs that are becoming popular options for new parents. A certain part also drops for convenience in taking care of the baby.

Either kind of crib will work well; the important thing is that it has features that will ensure the baby’s safety. Distances between slats should not be too wide. The mechanism of drop sides should be checked to make sure that they are securely fastened and that the attachments will not fall off. Make sure also that there are no rough corners, edges and splinters. Check if the paints used are non-toxic.
