door weatherstripping

Air leaks are sometimes the main reason why electric bill is hitting the roof. It is a common problem that cold or hot air goes escapes the room through the door. Sealing this leak through the door openings is called door weatherstripping. This could save about 15% of heating or cooling cost. There are some pre-weatherstripped doors that are made of fiberglass.

Floor, walls, ceilings, windows and doors come together to lock the cold or hot air inside our home. Door weatherstripping makes your home airtight. Normally, doors would need two kinds of weatherstripping: self-adhesive foams for the sides and top and sweeps for the bottom. This is very popular in door garages.
