The first tiffany stained glass products were influenced by what Louis C.Tiffany saw in his travels. The rich hues of Byzantine glass mosaics and medieval stained glass windows were his inspiration in coming out with colored glass that he incorporated in his products. First he relied on what was commercially available. Later he opened his own furnace and perfected the art of stained glass. Different methods of producing stained glass were developed.
