I just turned 19 and I finally got leave home and move in to my “furnished” studio apartment. My studio apartment is no bigger than a parking slot but l love it because it’s all mine. The landlord must be joking. I didn’t know “furnished” means an old bed, a small TV, a couple of old magazines and a coffee table which I double up as a dining table and a TV stand. I don’t even have a fridge yet. It’s so nice to be on your own but I wish I had extra cash to buy furniture.

Next weekend, I’ll go over to my mom’s house and try to bum off some furniture and plates. Being on your own is no joke. I usually get home from work dead tired. I don’t have a fridge yet so I usually just eat burger that I buy in the corner. In two weeks, I’ll get my first paycheck. I’m so excited! I’ll probably buy a bigger TV and a new mp3 player.
