When “Octo Mom” hogged all the headlines, there were mixed reactions. Now that John and Kate plus 8 have their own hit reality TV, more and more people get to see what it was like to raise 8 kids. A loft bed is an elevated bed which could have another bed on the bottom or a work desk underneath.

A loft bed is a practical choice for small rooms with two or more children in it. Loft beds are also used for college dormitories. We have also seen army movies where loft beds are used in barracks. Today’s loft beds however could very well be called luxury loft beds. There are loft beds for kids that come with a tent; some even have built in slide so it becomes an instant playroom.
