Last week I attended an Italian cooking class. The attachments given to us before the class said we needed to bring a notebook, a pen and an apron. When the class started I was pleasantly amused at the different aprons in the class. More than half of the class had personalized and/or colorful aprons, some had old ragged unwashed aprons (me included) and two had plain white aprons. I noticed that those who bought personalized ones had a rooster apron design in it.

I didn’t know that rooster aprons were so popular. I don’t even think the three who wore rooster aprons were bird lovers. Maybe the rooster on an apron would signify a seasoned cook or something to that effect. Personally, I think that rooster aprons could very well mean that the one wearing it loves chicken dishes. Rooster aprons are charming and appropriate for the kitchen. They look homey and endearing.
