What you have in your kitchen are probably the basics. Unless you’re a professional chef or an avid cook, you don’t need the complete arsenal. Not every kitchen should be stocked like a caterer’s kitchen. Not all kitchens are built for a massive cook fest either. The basics should include a non stick pan, a sauce pan and if you cook for a big family- a stock pot.
A stockpot is essential when cooking large quantities of dishes that have sauces. Soups need to be cooked in stock pots. As it is called, a stock pot is used to prepare stock. Most stock pots are available in stainless steel. It varies in size and height. Most stock pots have handles on the sides so that it is easier to lift especially when being taken from the stove.
