When I moved out of my parents’ house and got a place of my own, I was flabbergasted at the number of stuff I took for granted. Take the kitchen for example; I didn’t know you needed lots of stuff to cook and prepare food. There are lots of pots and pans and different kinds also. You’ll also need the basic spices and culinary set. That’s just food preparation. How about cleaning after? You’ll need a couple of sponges, a dish rack, a couple of towels and dishwashing soap holder.

I was so shocked at how much I need to buy, that I ended up eating out for a couple of days and back at my parents’ house for the weekend I ended up asking my mom to accompany me to the store and get my kitchen up and ready. Back then, I didn’t know the use of dish racks. I thought they were just a fancy thing to stack up your dishes.
