Preserve Garden Produce at Home
Save money on your grocery bills by preserving some of the foods you grow in your garden. Home canning is a great way to store food for use all year round. Even if you don’t grow your own garden produce, you can still buy canning supplies, fruits and vegetables in season in bulk and can them for later use. With this, you can control the quality of food your family eats.
When you get to preserve your own food, you are the one who will determine the amount of salt or sugar that goes into your canned products. You can also lessen the preservatives used and make your canned food healthier. Being able to make canned foods also means you get to stock yummy gifts you can give to friends and family throughout the year.
