I teach history to fifth-graders, and I try to make it as interesting as I can for them. I let them watch movies about great leaders or take them to museums every chance I get. My mission is to make history come alive for them.

That is also a reason why I collect and build scale models of different sea vessels that have become iconic through time. My students’ favorites are the Titanic and a Normandie model ship. They say that these are really cool, and that is enough for me!
